Striker - Hood (Remove and Replace)

Correction Code 11352902

Removal

  1. Open the hood for access.
  2. Remove the hood insulation pad, if equipped.
  3. Mark the installed position of the striker plate to aid installation.
  4. Remove the bolts (x2) that secure the striker to the hood (torque 20 Nm).
  5. Remove the striker assembly.

Installation

Installation procedure is the reverse of removal, except for the following:
  1. Adjust the striker as necessary before torquing the bolts.
  2. Clean any witness marks from the painted surface.
  3. Ensure proper operation of the hood.
